Archiving a site on Hostjar.io allows you to temporarily disable it without deleting its files or configuration. This is useful for sites that are no longer active but may be needed in the future.
What happens when you archive a site?
- Site becomes inaccessible:
- The site will no longer be accessible to visitors.
- Custom domains associated with the site will not stop working but the file explorer and accessing it will be disabled.
- Files and settings are preserved:
- All files, configurations, and settings are saved.
- You can restore the site at any time.
How to archive a site
- Go to site settings:
- Navigate to the Site Management section in your Hostjar.io dashboard.
- Archive the site:
- Find the site you want to archive and click the Archive button in the three dot menu.
- Confirm the action.
Restoring an archived site
- Go to site settings:
- Navigate to the Site Management section in your Hostjar.io dashboard.
- Archive the site:
- Find the site you want to archive and click the Unarchive button in the three dot menu.
- Confirm the action.
